The residency will culminate with an exhibition so applications
are to include a detailed plan for the time to be spent at the residency, and
an initial concept for the exhibition.
We support artists and curators to hold local workshops and
events during their residency. We also promote collaborative projects with
other galleries and spaces in Niigata and Tokyo for the participating
residents.
The application is open all year round
Dates of residency:
From March – May / October – December
Duration: 4 – 6 weeks
Accommodation: 2 rooms with 3 beds and futons (up to 4
persons)
Facilities: Wood workshop (Please ask for details)
Funds:
The gallery offers accommodation and transportation within
the Tokamachi city area.
We offer Japanese grants support, but urge artists to also
try and seek for funding from their individual countries.
